American Music Awards

Was this an award show or a soft porn show??? I turned it on for a few moments when I was trying to see if there was anything good on TV last night. The "Pussycat Dolls" were performing. If it wasn't for the shoestrings they had on. One would have thought they were at a strip club with them gyrating around poles and on chairs. The lyrics to their song? Horrible. Just as bad as the Fergalicious song I heard lately.

"Fergalicious definition make them boys go loco
They want my treasure so they get their pleasures from my photo
you could see me, you can't squeeze me
I ain't easy, I ain't sleazy
I got reasons why I tease 'em
Boys just come and go like seasons

Fergalicious
But I ain't promiscuous
And if you was suspicious
All that shit is fictitious
I blow kisses (mmmwwahhh)
That puts them boys on rock, rock
And they be lining down the block just to watch what I got"

Now I know why I rarely listen to secular music. And the kids now days??? Dear Father help us. What are they filling their minds with?? But the music and tune are so catching. I have heard more than once from a kid... "I don't listen to the lyrics... I just like the music". Yeah, and I go in to Cinnabon because I just like the way it looks in there. The smell doesn't affect me at all.

Back to what I have been ranting about for along time now. What is our call? Our call to holiness. Listen to Jars of Clay's "Good Monsters" or Skillet's "Comatose". You can have good music back with Godly lyrics. No, you won't be damned to eternal hell if you listen to the other music. But the line between right and wrong becomes harder to recognize.
